"Chattanooga State Community College Campus Locked Down on Thursday Due to Credible Threat

 CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Law enforcement is addressing a "credible threat" at Chattanooga State Community College this Thursday morning, as reported by school officials.

The campus is currently on lockdown until further notice, according to Nancy Patterson, a spokeswoman for the college.

The community college's Facebook page shared the following update:

TigerAlert: Please stay indoors, shelter in place, and lock your doors. 8/29/24, 9:52 a.m.

Shortly after, another post stated:

TigerAlert: As the situation continues to develop, remain in lockdown until further notice. If you have a medical emergency or personal crisis, please contact campus security immediately. We appreciate your patience and cooperation and will provide updates as they become available.

We are in touch with law enforcement for more information and have a team en route to the scene.
