"You've won, I'll gift you a child: Elon Musk to Taylor Swift."

American pop star Taylor Swift received a rather unusual proposal from U.S. tech entrepreneur and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, offering her a child. Musk made the suggestion shortly after Swift expressed her support for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.

On Wednesday, September 11, at around 10:45 AM, Elon Musk posted on his social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), saying: "Fine Taylor Swift, you win. I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life."

The meaning of Musk’s post translates to: “Fine Taylor Swift, you’ve won. I will gift you a child and protect your cats for life.” Though the message seems like an offer, Musk's tone was intended to mock the singer.

By stating that he would give Swift a child, Musk implied that she is a "childless cat lady" — a phrase used in the past by Donald Trump's vice president, JD Vance, to mock childless women.

Notably, on Tuesday, September 10, Taylor Swift announced her support for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. In an Instagram post, she wrote, "I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election."
