A powerful storm 'Francine' struck with a speed of 120 kilometers per hour.


 Hurricane Francine has struck the southern region of Louisiana in the United States with a wind speed of 120 kilometers per hour. On Wednesday, September 11, residents had already been ordered to evacuate due to heavy rain and winds brought by the storm, according to a report by Reuters.


The U.S. National Hurricane Center has stated that after hitting southern Louisiana, the storm will also strike New Orleans with a wind speed of 50 kilometers per hour.


In a briefing, the Hurricane Center mentioned that the storm has intensified from Category 1 to Category 2 and could cause significant damage, including landslides.


Due to the storm, over 200,000 homes and businesses are already without power. Louisiana Governor Jim Land and U.S. President Joe Biden have issued an emergency alert in the state, and necessary preparations for hurricane response have been instructed.
