Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is holding a news conference in Orlando, a day after an apparent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. Speaking at an elementary school, DeSantis focused on tertiary education reforms in Florida, notably not mentioning the incident involving Trump.
Yesterday, DeSantis announced on X (formerly Twitter) that Florida would conduct its own investigation into the assassination attempt. "The people deserve the truth about the would-be assassin and how he got within 500 yards of the former president and current GOP nominee," he wrote.
The incident occurred at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, raising security concerns as investigations continue.
