Kamala Harris has announced that if she becomes president, she will remove the degree requirement for federal jobs.
A degree cannot measure a person's skills, which is why Kamala Harris, the U.S. Vice President, has stated that if she wins the upcoming presidential election on November 5, she will remove the requirement fo
r a college degree (bachelor's) for certain federal jobs. Reuters reported this announcement.
Kamala made these remarks during a speech in Pennsylvania on Friday, September 13.
She said, “If I am elected president, I will eliminate the degree requirement for federal government jobs because this step will increase opportunities for those who don't have a four-year degree.”
She also mentioned that she would urge private sectors to take similar steps.
As the election approaches, both Trump and Kamala are appealing to voters with various economic promises. Kamala plans to reduce taxes for the middle class, while Trump promises to lower taxes on overtime pay if he becomes president.
Observers are noting that if Muslim and Arab-American voters do not support Kamala, it could decrease her chances of winning the presidency. In the last election, Muslim and Arab-American voters overwhelmingly supported the Democratic Party.
