"As the summer comes to an end, I can't express enough how relieved I am to have completed my chemotherapy treatment. The past nine months have been incredibly difficult for us as a family. Life as we knew it changed in an instant, and we had to navigate through unknown and stormy waters.
The cancer journey is complicated, scary, and unpredictable, not just for me but for everyone who’s close to me. It brings you face-to-face with your vulnerabilities in ways you never thought possible, and with that comes a shift in how you see the world.
More than anything, this time has reminded William and me to reflect on and appreciate the simple, yet profoundly important things in life that so many of us take for granted—the ability to love and be loved.
While my focus now is on staying cancer-free, I know the road to full recovery is long, and I have to take each day as it comes. But I'm looking forward to slowly returning to work and participating in a few more public engagements in the months ahead when I am able.
Despite everything that has happened, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and gratitude for life. William and I are deeply thankful for the support we’ve received, and we’ve drawn so much strength from those who have been there for us. The kindness, empathy, and compassion we’ve experienced have been truly humbling.
To everyone still on their own cancer journey—I stand with you, side by side, hand in hand. Even in the darkest moments, light can emerge, so let that light shine bright."
